One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and of those, 75 per cent will be over the age of 50.

Regular breast screens are the best way to find breast cancer early, before any symptoms are noticed and when treatment is likely to be most successful.

A breast screen takes just 10 minutes and BreastScreen Victoria offers a free service for women between the ages of 50 and 74.

Appointments at the BreastScreen Victoria clinic at Wimmera Base Hospital, 83 Baillie Street, Horsham 3400 can be made online at www.breastscreen.org.au or by calling 13 20 50.
