Community organisations from across the district have been successful in attaining funding through Round 1 of the Hindmarsh Shire Council's Community Action Grants program, including two Dimboola groups.

The program was established in 2013 to support communities to provide services, self-help and assist with community development, social action and connectedness.

Hindmarsh Shire Council Mayor, Cr Debra Nelson said in June this year that "this is a great opportunity for community groups who require financial assistance to complete new projects that address a community need, improve social connections and building community wellbeing".
