Pleasant weather encouraged a good crowd to turn out for Dimboola's Carols by Candlelight at the Soundshell last night.

A large number of people attended the Carols, listening to a range of performances during the concert.

The group Gypsum Pit Road provided some pre-show entertainment, as well as being the show's opening act.

Groups from Dimboola Primary School, St Peters Lutheran School, the Kindergarten, and the Brownies and Guides took to the stage to perform a range of songs.

Voices of the Wimmera provided a choir-style performance, while Key Change also sang a range of traditional Christmas songs.

After the sun went down and the concert drew to a close, an inflatable screen was put up on the side of the soundshell for a screening of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas which proved popular, with a good number of people staying to watch the film.

The night was made possible by the Dimboola Town Committee, Dimboola Branch of Bendigo Bank, Hindmarsh Shire Council, and the Victorian Government's Drought Response Program.
