Both of the Bull's cricket teams encountered strong oppositions this weekend, with the A grade finishing 55 runs short of their victory target set by Jung Tigers the previous week and the C grade team was unable to restrict Homers.

A Grade - Blackheath-Dimboola 168 lost to Jung Tigers 223

The Dimboola-Blackheath Bulls A grade side finished a two day game on Saturday against Jung Tigers on the turf at the city oval in Horsham.

After losing the toss on the first day and being sent into the field the Bulls bowlers and fieldsmen restricted the opposition batsmen to a score of 9 for 223 after 76 overs. The best of the 9 bowlers used was Lachie Watts with the figures of 3 for 27.

The Bulls went into bat at the start of the second week and where dismissed for 168 runs in 60 overs. The batsmen to get a start where Lachie Watts 56, Hamish Exell 38, Elliot Braithwaite 26 and Brodie Cramer 26.

This week in the A grade Bulls play Rupanyup-Minyip in a day night game commencing at 4.pm on the City Oval turf in Horsham. This will be the last A grade game until after the Christmas break.


C Grade - Dimboola-Blackheath 97 lost to Homers 5/103

The C grade side played Homers on the Dimboola turf wicket and suffered a loss.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, the Bulls lost wickets at regular intervals and where dismissed for 97 in 29.3 overs. The best of the batsmen were Mick McGough 29, Peter Wren 13, Ben Miller 13, Jason Pietsch 10 and Al Griffiths 10.

The Bulls then went into the field but where un able to contain the opposition batsmen under 96 to obtain a win. Homers finished with a score of 5 for 103 in 27 overs with the best of the Bulls bowlers being Scott Polycarpou 2 for 7 and Peter Wren 2 for 6.

This week the C grade side plays a one day game against Colts at Dudley Cornell Park in Horsham.
