Dimboola fire brigade receives equipment grant
The Dimboola fire brigade was amongst twelve across the Wimmera that recently received funding under the Volunteer Emergency Services Equipment Program (VESEP).

The Member for Lowan, Emma Kealy MP has congratulated the successful brigades, noting that “Volunteers do a huge amount of fundraising in order to apply for matching funding from the Victorian Government and any extra support they receive goes a long way.”

Other successful local CFA brigades included Clear Lake, Dadswells Bridge, Dergholm, Grass Flat, Horsham, Kellalac, Lawloit, Moyston, Murtoa, Toolondo and Yaapeet.

The Dimboola brigade used the $11,480 they received to purchase a thermal imaging camera.

Grants were also received by the Grampians Regional Team and Mallee Regional Team of St Johns Ambulance and VicSES units in Horsham, Nhill, Dunmunkle, Dimboola and Warracknabeal.

“Our emergency service volunteers are indispensable to the safety of our local communities”, Ms Kealy said.
