CWA day trip to Warrnambool
The West Wimmera Group of the Country Women’s Association is organising a bus trip to visit a Creative Arts Exhibition in Warrnambool on Friday 4 August, and they are making the excursion available to the general public.

The Exhibition is the annual State-wide display of craft work and cooking by CWA members from across Victoria ad includes some Wimmera entries.

This is an opportunity for husbands, partners, friends and non-members to join the trip to take in the exhibition, enjoy some shopping or just spend the day in Warrnambool.

The large comfortable bus, with room for walking frames, will depart from the V-Line bus stop in Nhill at 6.00 am and pick up additional passengers at Dimboola’s V-Line stop at 6.30 am and at Horsham from Coles Car Park at 7.00 am.

The cost of the bus trip is $10 for members and $15 for non-members for the coach, and admission to the exhibition is $10.

On the way home a stop has been arranged for an evening meal at Café 109 in Dunkeld at the cost of around $20 each.

In September 2017, it will be 100 years since the sons of Edwin and Polly were killed in the First World War, only 4 days apart.

To commemorate this event, on Sunday 24th of September 2017, a service will be held at the Dimboola Cemetery.
