The Wimmera Southern Mallee Community Transport Service was launched earlier this month, and services Kaniva, Nhill, Dimboola, Jeparit and Pimpinio.

These towns are serviced by stage one of the project - which is operated by volunteer drivers.

This service is the result of four years of planning and is being delivered by the Centre for Participation in conjunction with Transport for Victoria. It aims to provide transport for residents of outlying towns who need to get to Horsham for their non-emergency medical, human services and social appointments.

A meeting will be held in Nhill this afternoon (Wednesday 15th) for anyone interested in finding out more about the service, at the Nhill SES rooms from 3pm.

You can book a place on the weekly service by calling 1800 952 211.
