Smoke in the Wimmera from South Australian fire
The smoke currently visible across the Wimmera is originating from a fire north west of Frances across the border in South Australia.

The South Australian Country Fire Service advises that an uncontrolled bushfire is burning in scrub in the Bangham and Frances area in the Upper South East of South Australia near the Bordertown-Frances Road, My MiMi Road, Bangham Road, Will Road and Dabinet Road.

The fire is travelling in a North to North Easterly direction towards the Bangham Conservation Park, My MiMi Road, Bangham Road and Will Road at Bangham.

The Victorian Country Fire Service report that there is currently no immediate threat to the community on this side of the border and no action is required.
