Another major local event has succumbed to the coronavirus situation and uncertainty over the lifting of restrictions.

The following is a statement from Victorian Off Road Racing Association (VORRA) president Tony Carabott.
On behalf of the VORRA Committee and the Rainbow Town Committee, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our National event, Rainbow Desert Enduro 560, in August 2020.

This decision was not made lightly, and due to the amount of voluntary work and effort that goes into organising and preparing a National event, with the unknown timeline of restriction changes and the risk of transmission of COVID–19, both publicly and within the sport, we have to make a call at this time.

Our members, Volunteers, Officials, Competitors and the Rainbow Township, are our number one priority when it comes to health and safety.

Motorsport Australia have been informed of our decision and of course they, like of all us, are disappointed, but fully respect and support our decision. There will be an official announcement from them also.

We trust that you respect our decision. VORRA and the Rainbow community, look forward to hosting the Rainbow Rises 240 in March 2021 and seeing as many of you there as possible.
