Another sport will take to the field this weekend with the 2020/21 senior cricket season commencing in the Horsham Cricket Association.

After a trying 2019/20 season in the A grade, the Blackheath-Dimboola Bulls have entered a team in the B grade, and their first game will be against Horsham Saints at Coughlin Park.

The senior Warriors team will be looking to extend their good form from last season after winning both B grade grand finals contested when they step back up to the A grade, and their C grade team will be out to defend the T20 title they won earlier this year.

The A grade team will commence their season on Saturday when they take on Homers, the five-times A grade one-day reigning premiers, at Davis Park in Nhill, and the C grade Warriors will travel to Lubeck to take on Lubeck-Murtoa.

As with all sport this season, strict COVID-19 guidelines will apply to all those present at the venue, including players officials, and where they are allowed, spectators.

Junior cricket commenced last weekend, with the Warriors Under 16.5 team defeating Horsham Saints, and in the Under 14s, Blackheath-Dimboola defeated Bullants, and the West Wimmera Warriors went down to Homers White.
