Both First and Second Divisions suffered defeats on Saturday.
The First Division teams travelled to Horsham Golf hoping to continue the good start to the season but were defeated by the better side on the day going down by 14 shots, 54-68 .
The team of Peter O’Loughlin, Wayne Albrecht, Cliff Unger and Ron Gaulke was the only one to register a win, by 10 shots 27-17. The team of Rob Pyers, Greg Cook, Judith Albrecht and Shannon Williams took a while to get going but fought back to go down by 10 shots, 15-25, and the team of Alan Krahe, Josh Cook, Geoff Gazelle and Merv Roberts didn’t have a great day going down by 14 shots, 12-26.
This week we play Horsham City on their green in what should be a good game between old rivals.
Second Division had a close game against Natimuk at Natimuk going down by 6 shots, 66-72.
Bryan Beattie, John Moar, Max Pilmore and William Eldridge had a good win by 3 shots, 26-23, the team of Darryl Both, Mark Gaulke, Ian McRae and Ian Barry had a slow start but fought back to go down 21-29, and the team of Darryl Argall, Max Walker, Bill Ballard and Alex Orcsik had a close game going down by only one shot, 19-20.
This week Second Division will be at home to take on Sunnyside 2.
