First Division
With the finals beginning next weekend first division put in a poor effort against the second bottom Horsham City 2 side going down 3 rinks to 1.

The wind blowing off the Horsham racecourse proved too hard to handle for some with only the team of Judith Albrecht, Rick Danisch, Greg Cook and Peter O’Loughlin being able to win, winning by 10 shots.

Alan Krahe’s team went down by 6 shots 16-22, Geoff Gazelle’s down by 8 shots 17-25 and Rob Pyers’ down by 17 shots 18-35 with the overall scores being 75-96.

The result is disappointing since we had beaten all the top sides over the last several weeks. We will regroup during the week and be ready to take on Sunnyside on Saturday on our Dimboola green in a cut-throat first semi-final.

Third Division
Third division had another great win with 2 of the 3 teams having big wins, with the team of Max Pilmore, Gordon Miller, Ian McRae and John Moar having a big winning by 20 shots 30-10.

Close behind was Trevor Werner’s team who won by 19 shots. Bryan Beattie’s team had a harder day going down by 7 shots.

With a 77-45 victory third division is in tune for the finals next week where they take on second-placed Coughlin Park in the second semi-final.
