The doors of the new Wimmera Cancer Centre will be thrown open this weekend to give the public a chance to tour the new facility.

Wimmera Health Care Group is inviting residents of the Wimmera and Southern Mallee to visit the centre between 10am and 1pm this Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th February.

WHCG CEO Catherine Morley said that they are inviting the public in as a way of saying ‘thank you’ for all of the support they’ve received over the last four years.

“We are very excited to have an opportunity to show members of the public through our wonderful new centre,” Ms Morley said.

“Everyone is welcome to see the centre for themselves and soak up all the hard work the community has done to fundraise for this facility.”

Horsham Lions Club will be in the carpark with a barbecue lunch and also selling drinks.

Representatives from Wimmera Health Care Group and some of the major contributors will also be at the event.

The first consultation at the centre took place on Wednesday 23rd January.
