Over 500 keen golfers will converge on Nhill this Queen’s Birthday long weekend for the Nhill Golf Club’s annual golf tournament which stretches over five days and heralds the start of the Wimmera tournament season.

This year will be the 99th time they have hosted their annual competition and will run over five days commencing on Thursday with an 18 hole stroke event on Ladies Day.

Friday will host the Men’s 4BBB Golden Putter and Ladies Stableford Aggregate events.

The third day has Men’s and Ladies 4BBB Stableford, and Sunday will be mixed Pinehurst and Men’s stroke events.

The weekend concludes on Monday with a 36 Hole Stroke event for the Men, and 18 Hole stroke events for both Men and Ladies with hit-off times in both the morning and afternoon.

This tournament regularly attracts golfers from not just the surrounding Wimmera golf clubs, but also from as far afield as Ballarat and Melbourne.

As in past seasons, this tournament has been well supported by local businesses who have been joined by a number of sponsors from Ballarat, Melbourne and Mildura to provide a good range of trophies.

Catering will also be available with afternoon tea provided each day and dinner available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.
