The conditions tested all concerned over the weekend, but the drivers, crews, organisers and army of volunteers all rose to the occasion and put on another successful Rainbow Desert Enduro.

Scrutineering was carried out on Friday afternoon and evening in Rainbow’s main street under drizzly conditions, but a large crowd still attended to view the race vehicles and mingle with the drivers.

Unfortunately the rain continued overnight, concerns over safety led to the action on Saturday being cancelled, but the racing went ahead on Sunday providing plenty of action for the spectators who braved the conditions to attend.

The 2019 Rainbow Desert Enduro was won by Greg Gartner (below) and for Mark Burrows a third placing on Sunday was enough for him to take out his 8th Australian Off Road Championship.
