The Dimboola bowls teams had a mixed results last weekend, with the First Division defeating Nhill but the Second Division team did not enjoy success against Horsham City.

The First Division team had a very good day on Saturday defeating the strong Nhill side by a comfortable margin of 37 shots, 87 to 50.

The team of Rob Pyers, Peter O’Loughlin, Judith Albrecht and Merv Roberts lead the way with a 23 shot margin 34 to 11, the team of Geoff Gazelle, Greg Cook, Darryl Both and Darryl Argall also had a good win winning by 18 shots 32 to 14. The team of Alan Krahe, Wayne Albrecht, Rob Clark and Josh Cook had a close game all day going down by only 4 shots 21 to 25.

This week the First Division team will travel to Horsham to take on Coughlin Park on their home greens in a replay of last year’s grand final where Dimboola will be out to reverse the result from their last meeting.

Dimboola’s second division had a difficult day on the green at Horsham City going down by 29 shots 56 to 85.

The team of Peter Ross, Daniel Danisch, Bill Ballard and Shannon Williams had a hard-fought draw 21 all, Cliff Unger, Frank Neagle, Max Walker and Ian McRae went down 20 to 30 and the team of Ron Gaulke, Ric Danisch, Trevor Werner and Alex Oscsik went down 1 to 34.

This week Second Division play Edenhope at home.
