According to the Dimboola Banner newspaper in 1909, 250 customers assembled to be part in the ceremony of the opening of the new bank premises on the corner of Lloyd and Lochiel Streets.

To celebrate the 110th anniversary of this event, there will be an attempt to replicate this image to capture the diversity of local residents, with all residents of Dimboola invited to be part of this historical photo.

All those wishing to participate in this special event are asked to register their full name so that it can be included with the photograph. This can be done by contacting Chan on 0425 705 591.

A barbeque will take place afterwards in the driveway at 7-9 Lochiel St, with a free sausage sizzle provided by Dimboola’s IGA supermarket. Bring your own drinks and other food if required.
