With restrictions set to be relaxed further over the next month allowing sporting organisations to resume competition under strict conditions, decisions are being made concerning the future of the regions’ major sporting contests for 2020.

The Wimmera Football League and Wimmera Netball Association held a meeting last night and their clubs are now considering the information discussed before meeting again next week to decide the fate of their season.

The Wimmera Hockey Association is in a similar situation, with clubs currently considering the implications on their members of participating in a shortened season, before a meeting next week to make a decision.

The Horsham District Football Netball League announced the cancellation of their senior 2020 competitions earlier this week and will now focus on developing a structure that will allow young players who wish to play football or netball this season.
