A site has been secured for the new Dimboola Fire Station. The announcement comes with the release of the Victorian State Government Budget earlier this week.

The new Dimboola CFA Fire Station will be located at 2-4 High Street, on the corner of High Street and Victoria Street.

This work is part of a $126 million dollar spend on CFA capability under the state government’s Fire Services Reform.

The new Dimboola station replaces a 38-year-old building, pictured above, which does not contain adequate space for housing emergency appliances when vehicles reverse into the motor room. The is also a lack of safe changing areas and adequate storage and meeting areas for the volunteers.

In announcing the current round of funding, Member for Western Victoria Jaala Pulford said that “It’s great to announce this significant investment into the CFA and its selfless volunteers who give up so much of their time to serve their communities.”

Across the region, facilities in Dartmoor, Warracknabeal, and Natte Yallock will be also see modernisation to provide adequate motor room space to accommodate their vehicles and emergency appliances.
