Not quite as spectacular as the lighting show we witnessed last week, but something interesting to look for in the night sky.

Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan–ATLAS) was photographed at 9.15 pm on the evening of Sunday, 20 October 2024, just above the western horizon. Venus can be seen on the left.

While our photographer could not see it with the naked eye, it is easy to see in this 15-second exposure at f/3.5 and ISO 6400.
