Members of the community are invited to attend an open day at Snape Reserve, a Trust for Nature property on the edge of Dimboola, this Sunday.

The 846-hectare property on the edge of the Little Desert was acquired by Trust for Nature in 2002 to protect the significant conservation value of the land. There are at least ten distinct vegetation types including river red gum swamps, several types of woodland and heathland.

Revegetation efforts over the years have worked towards restoring the property to a natural state. Most recently, Project Hindmarsh was involved in plantings at the reserve in 2022.

The reserve is publicly accessible, but members of the community are encouraged to head along between 2pm and 4pm this Sunday, 21st May 2023. More information can be found on the Hindmarsh Landcare Network Facebook page.

Snape Reserve is on Old Racecourse Road, out past the Dimboola Golf Club.
